Las Vegas-The Las Vegas Police Department held its first “All Hands” Department Meeting, under the command of the recently appointed Chief of Police, David T. Bibb III.
Chief Bibb reported to the Officers and Staff of the Police Department that since his appointment in November 2018, the Department has removed 12 vehicles from its parking lot, hired three new dispatchers and three new Police Officers, and has established numerous professional partnerships with several different agencies throughout the City and the State.
In the meeting, it was discussed the implementation of a professional, yet personal approach to the way it interacts with the people of Las Vegas. A streamlined effort with Patrol, Investigations, Dispatch, Records and Administrative Personnel is now the priority for the Department to provide for a safer and more secure community.
The Chief concluded the meeting by highlighting the unanimous and continued support for from The Mayor and Council.
The LVPD would like to thank the Officers of the New Mexico Highlands University Police Department, the New Mexico State Police District 2, and the San Miguel County Sheriff’s Office for Patrolling the City Streets and answering calls for service during its Department Meeting.
