Season 2 of Roswell, NM is scheduled to begin filming in Las Vegas from September 3rd through September 7 th, to include prep, filming and wrap. Filming prep will begin on September 3rd at 8am at the Bridge Street and Plaza area. There will be 2 large condors and various large trucks in the area, as parking will be limited. Four buildings will be decorated for the film set, as well as a banner that will be installed overhead, from Plaza Drugs to the WLV Administration Building. We would like to remind the public that the banner is part of the film set, and all film sets will have 24 hour security on site. On the filming days of September 5th and 6th, between Moreno Street and the WLV School entrance, and Bridge Street, the street will be closed as a 135’ condor will be staged there. Bridge Street will also be closed after 6:30pm on both days. The left turn on Plaza at Hot Springs will also be closed on September 5th . Two additional scenes will be filmed at the Plaza Park, looking towards Plaza Drugs which coincide with the Intermittent Traffic Control already in place. All equipment, actors and crew will be on the sidewalk nearest to the Plaza. Parking will not be available in front of the Plaza Hotel. Basecamp and crew parking will be located at WLV Schools. Residents, business owners and patrons will have access to their homes and businesses, but there may be brief delays or detours. The Las Vegas Police Department and SW Safety Flaggers will be assisting with traffic flow and street closures. Please be patient and drive with caution as there will be film crews in the area. Filming will also take place on 403 Gallegos Road at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, but there will be minimal effect for traffic in that area.
