Due to the rise of Covid-19 infections in New Mexico and San Miguel County, Mayor Louie A. Trujillo held a press conference today, Monday, October 19, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. to address the issue and declared a disaster declaration of health emergency in efforts to help control the spread of the virus and has imposed a curfew for all persons within the city limits of Las Vegas. The curfew will become effective Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at 10:00 p.m. and expire on Friday, November 6, 2020 unless otherwise extended in writing by Mayor Trujillo.
The City of Las Vegas Police Department along with other law enforcement agencies are
working together and coordinating efforts in enforcing this curfew.
Mayor Trujillo would like to thank the community for their cooperation in this time of crisis, and urges everyone to continue safety practices in accordance with the public health orders.
