City of Las Vegas – Solid Waste Transfer Station Closure
Roads, Recreation, and a Reminder about Black Ice!
The major snowfall has ended, but we're still navigating the aftermath of this winter storm. Here's what you need to know as we head into the weekend:
Weather:
· Today: Mostly cloudy with a high near 35°F.
· Tonight: Low around 18°F.
· Saturday: Partly cloudy with a high near 43°F.
Road Conditions:
· Roads are improving, but icy patches and black ice remain a concern, especially in shaded areas.
· Please continue to avoid unnecessary travel.
· If you must drive, reduce your speed, increase following distance, and be extremely cautious.
Solid Waste Transfer Station Closure:
The Solid Waste Transfer Station will be closed Saturday, November 9th. This closure permits our crews to haul loads of waste to the Landfill that was closed during the storm and resume full operations next week. We apologize for any inconvenience.
We appreciate your continued cooperation and patience as we work to restore our city to its full capacity!
