PSA 2/18/2025 10:00 p.m. - Update #10: Ongoing Water System Repairs and Updates

asalas843

Continuous repairs and improvements are being made in response to the water leak discovered this past Saturday, and positive progress is being achieved. The water treatment plant has continued to produce water at a rate of 1,300 gallons per minute.

Four separate water leaks were located, repaired, or isolated within the city today. This was anticipated due to fluctuating water pressures throughout the city as water is reintroduced into the system.

To support water treatment plant production, 55 semi-trucks are hauling potable water from local state-approved water sources, running 24 hours a day.

Water Distribution:

  • Non-Potable Bulk Water Distribution continues tomorrow at 9:00 a.m. until the supply runs out at the old Memorial Middle School, located at 947 Old National Road.

  • Packaged Water Distribution will start tomorrow at 8:00 a.m. and will continue until supplies are depleted at the Abe Montoya Recreation Center, located at 1751 N. Grand Avenue. Due to high demand, water availability may vary. Additional shipments of packaged water will be delivered by semi-trucks throughout the day. Please stay tuned for further updates.
