Although there is no Public Safety Planned Shutoff (PSPS) for the area, high winds will persist throughout the day and evening.
We encourage residents to take the following precautions to prevent litter:
Secure trash bins by moving them closer to your house or garage after pickup.
Avoid leaving bins on the curb to minimize exposure to wind.
Pick up scattered waste promptly if trash is blown around.
Additionally, be aware of these hazards during the high wind event:
Winds can cause pilot lights on gas appliances to go out. Follow safety procedures to relight or contact a professional if you're unsure.
Watch for tree limbs that may fall on gas meters, causing damage or hazards. Please report them.
