2:30 p.m.

Although there is no Public Safety Planned Shutoff (PSPS) for the area, high winds will persist throughout the day and evening.

We encourage residents to take the following precautions to prevent litter:

  • Secure trash bins by moving them closer to your house or garage after pickup.

  • Avoid leaving bins on the curb to minimize exposure to wind.

  • Pick up scattered waste promptly if trash is blown around.

Additionally, be aware of these hazards during the high wind event:

  • Winds can cause pilot lights on gas appliances to go out. Follow safety procedures to relight or contact a professional if you're unsure.

  • Watch for tree limbs that may fall on gas meters, causing damage or hazards. Please report them.

For gas service issues, contact us at 505-454-1401 or 505-454-3832. For after-hour service, call Las Vegas Police Dispatch at 505-425-7504 and ask for Natural Gas Service on call.

Stay safe, avoid unnecessary outdoor activities, and thank you for helping keep our community safe.
