CITY OF LAS VEGAS RECEIVES THE NEW MEXICO LAND AND WATER CONSERVATI ON, STATE OF NEW MEXICO ENERGY AND MINERALS AND NATURAL RESOURCES GRANT
"RODRIGUEZ PARK BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL FIELD LIGHTING"
LAS VEGAS, N M - The City of Las Vegas received a grant from the Land and Water Conservation,
State of New Mexico Energy and Minerals and Natural Resources Grant Program. The grant will support retrofitting new lighting in the newly renovated large baseball field and new lighting in the new softball field at Rodriguez Park.
The City of Las Vegas has exhausted all funds from a $3,500,000 legislative capital outlay grant at the park for construction of a new baseball field and a new softball field. The Energy and Minerals Grant will augment expenses as matching funds for the grant and provide new lighting for games in the evening.
Mayor David Romero expressed his appreciative support from the Legislature, Office of the Governor, and State of New Mexico for support of the park and is excited to start the next phase of the project on a recently awarded capital outlay appropriation for phase II.
