  • Hay's Plumbing & Heating Inc. concrete crew will commence to demo

    Next week January 31st, 2022 Hay's Plumbing & Heating Inc. concrete crew will commence to demo, form, and pour the raised concrete crosswalks in the Plaza area. Plaza will be closed for the next few weeks starting January 31st and will re­open February 11th, 2022. Plaza parking area will be closed and parking will be available to the public on Valencia Street and the Utilities Department parking lot on 1th Street.     Please be advised, the City of Las Vegas Senior Center Program will be closed to in-dining (Congregation), for 2 weeks to keep Seniors and Staff safe. Center’s will open again on February 7th , 2022. Grab and Go meals and Home Delivery meals will continue to be given out.   • Jan 5 PSA - Bridge Street concrete crew will commence to form and pour the raised concrete crosswalk

    Next week January 4, 2022 on Bridge Street concrete crew will commence to form and pour the raised concrete crosswalk in the parking area. Plaza will be closed the week of January 3rd and will re-open at 7:30 am January l0t\ 2022. Bridge Street will be closed throughout the park. The only section that will be open to traffic will be Hot Springs southbound and up to West National. Utility crews will continue on sewer lines and manholes. Also the demolition will start on the asphalt between bumpouts on Monday January 3rd, 2022. We thank you for your cooperation and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.     PROPOSED CITY CHARTER AMENDMENT FORUM On January 19th from 9 am to 11 am, and on January 24th from 2 pm to 4 pm, 2022, at the City Council chambers, located at 1700 N. Grand Avenue, Las Vegas, New Mexico, a forum will be held regarding the proposed charter amendments for the upcoming City election. At the forum, written information will be provided and questions may be asked regarding the proposed charter amendments.   • Jan 18 PSA - Water Line Break

    The Water Division staff will be repairing a water line break on Thursday, January 18, 2022. The following areas will be impacted by either low water pressure or water outage. • West National • Valencia Street • Morrison Street The roads will be closed from West National and Plaza to Morrison Street. Valencia Street to West National will be one-way traffic only. Detours will be in place, so proceed with caution. We hope to complete this as soon as possible and apologize for the inconvenience this will cause.   • Jan 10 PSA - City Of Las Vegas Contractors Will Be Repairing The Sewer Line On Church Street

    On Tuesday, January 11, 2022, the City of Las Vegas contractors will be repairing the sewer line on Church Street between Taos Street and Bernalillo Street. This portion of Church Street will be open to local traffic only. Detour signs will be posted on Taos St. and Bernalillo St. for the next two weeks until the work is complete.
